Handmade Turquoise & Gemstone Jewelry For Women Who Choose Their Path
ARTISAN CRAFTSMANSHIP MEETS TIMELESS STYLE
Jewelry designed for women who value individuality, quality, and timeless elegance. Who lead a dynamic life, balancing professional success with personal passions like travel, art, and community.
For you, jewelry is more than an accessory—it's a personal statement of confidence and individuality. You've curated a collection with unique, artisan-made pieces that resonate deeply, avoiding mass-produced trends.
You're looking for pieces designed with intention, that complement your lifestyle, & radiate your inner beauty.

Hey there, I'm Laura.
Engineer to Jewelry Artist
I create contemporary, handmade jewelry in sterling silver, turquoise, and natural gemstones at my home studio in Coto de Caza, CA.
Every design is a reflection of my engineering precision, love for beautiful jewelry, and appreciation for meaningful design — made for women who move through the world with curiosity, strength, and soul.
After a career as an engineer, I'm exploring a creative outlet and the meditative process of working with my hands. That path led me here: crafting jewelry that's intentional, meticulously designed, and rich with meaning.
The story behind the name
Novaura — from nova (new) and aura (energy) — is my celebration of creative transformation and inner radiance.
The name honors my birth family, Novak — while representing a new chapter and continuation of a legacy of entrepreneurship and family business..
INSPIRATION
California Dreams, Coastal Elegance
Living in Southern California infuses my creative process with coastal inspiration. The serene shorelines, golden sunsets, and natural beauty find their way into every piece I create — a harmony of relaxed coastal chic and polished sophistication.
Turquoise has become my signature stone, its vibrant blues and greens echoing the Pacific waters. I'm drawn to how this stone perfectly captures both Novaura's aesthetic and the timeless beauty of the California coast I call home.
My designs balance organic forms with refined details, creating versatile jewelry that transitions effortlessly from office to oceanside cafés.
This Southern California influence means Novaura pieces embody what many of us strive for: effortless elegance that feels authentic and grounded in natural beauty.

DESIGN APPROACH
Quality & Artistry
I design each piece as an artisan and as an engineer. This gives me a unique perspective in creating jewelry that combines beauty with strength.
- Engineering Precision: technical expertise to ensure each piece is crafted for durability and comfort
- Quality Materials: every component is carefully selected — from ethically sourced gemstones to sterling silver
- Handcrafted Excellence: small-batch creation allows me to maintain quality control throughout
- Lasting Treasures: choosing Novaura — you're investing in pieces crafted to be worn & treasured for years
This reflects my commitment to creating jewelry that looks beautiful today and becomes more meaningful with time.

Art Fairs & Festivals
Each summer, I'm honored to showcase my work at Laguna Art-A-Fair, a juried fine art festival in Laguna Beach, California.
This beautiful venue provides the perfect setting to experience Novaura Jewelry in person and connect face-to-face.
I sell at several other shows during the year. To learn where you can find me next, visit my Art Fairs & Events page.

LATE CAREER TRANSITION
Story of Resilience
I cherish the memories working alongside Linda as we helped our parents Bob & Joan grow our family business - Novak Electronics.
From a young age, I learned the value of hard work and building close relationships with customers in our family business. Linda's and my kids also stepped in at Novak Electronics to gain valuable work-life skills.
But life took an unexpected turn when our family business closed, and a few years later Linda was diagnosed with stage-4 cancer. It was a difficult and challenging time, but amidst the turmoil, I rediscovered my childhood hobby – jewelry making. What started as a therapeutic outlet soon blossomed into a side gig.
My career and life took a turn in my 50s. It's not just a change in direction but a journey that culminated in the creation of my jewelry brand. With the support of my husband, children, and parents, I proved that it's never too late to pursue my dreams and turn a beloved hobby into a joyful business.
I hear the whispers of encouragement from Linda to do what makes me happy.
